Cooperation

The Department of Biomedical Engineering actively collaborates with various domestic and international institutions, including universities, research institutes, hospitals, and industry partners.

Institutions We Collaborate With

  • Collaboration with Kobe University

    Within the collaboration with Kobe University, knowledge exchange in the field of spectroscopy was conducted, where our students mastered the basics of Aquaphotomics.

  • Collaboration with MIT

    Collaboration with MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), which is a leading world university in the field of biomedical engineering, was achieved through guest lectures and doctoral students from MIT in the BMI module at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade.

  • Collaboration with University of Washington

    Collaboration with the University of Washington (UW, Seattle, USA) provided insights into the latest knowledge about water, regarding its interaction with various materials and under different conditions. As part of the collaboration with UW, several publications were released, and one doctoral dissertation emerged.

  • Collaboration with Tokyo Institute of Technology

    In 2012, a cooperation agreement was signed in Belgrade between the University of Belgrade and the Tokyo Institute of Technology, which enabled student and knowledge exchange between these two institutions in the field of hyperspectral imaging optomagnetic spectroscopy for early cancer diagnosis.

Collaboration with Domestic Educational Institutions

  • Collaboration with VMA

    VMA (Military Medical Academy) is one of the leading medical, educational, and research institutions in the Balkans. Collaboration with VMA has been achieved through scientific research work and knowledge exchange in the field of biomedical engineering. BMI students have the opportunity to do internships at VMA.

  • Collaboration with Faculty of Medicine

    The Department of Biomedical Engineering has established collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Belgrade within projects of the Ministry of Science, Technological Development, and Innovation.

  • Collaboration with Faculty of Dentistry

    The Department of Biomedical Engineering has established collaboration with the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Belgrade within projects of the Ministry of Science, Technological Development, and Innovation.
